Stevie Nicks Wild Heart

I had to share this vintage Stevie Nicks video with all of you. Since Patrick sent it to me earlier this week, I have probably watched it over 30 times. I love it. How amazing to have been in her dressing room during this, can you imagine being her makeup artist? I love how the makeup artist is trying to put on her eyeliner and just gives up and takes in the moment. Such brilliance and talent...

Wedding Wallpaper

Last summer, designer Crystal Barlow created some really beautiful and personal wallpaper for her mother's wedding reception. The reception took place in a small bar in Minnesota and to help personalize the setting, she printed out large panels of custom graphics with old family photos and transformed the space into a personal and more celebratory place.

Vintage Cake Toppers

Through all of this wedding planning, one thing I never thought I would be so obsessed with is cake toppers. There sure is a wide variety of styles out there, some crazy, some just plain weird and then my favorites, ones that are beautifully hand crafted with oodles of creativity. I am not so much a fan of the realistic ones, but do see the charm in them as well. Some how I came across this site and it has a wide variety of vintage cake toppers. I picked out some of my favorites above, they don't really fit into our theme, but I'm sure would get a chuckle out of our wedding guests. The top left one is my favorite.

Via Letter

A friend recently showed me the site, Via Letter and I happen to think it is one of the most brilliant ideas ever. I love to receive letters in the mail but actual 3-dimensional letters take it to another level. The site is really easy to navigate, you pick out your letters, font and packaging and then it is sent off to a very lucky person. The letters range from $3 - $5, a bit pricey for a long word or sentence and that doesn't include shipping (from the UK), but every now and again it's good to splurge on a witty and fun gift idea!
